Welcome to Bunny Hill Farms located in scenic western Colorado!

My husband jokingly calls us “fake farmers” but I lovingly refer to ourselves as hobby farmers. Mostly we’re just trying to figure things out.  We are dreamers, hard workers, and city kids turned country. We are blessed with four children, neighbors who willingly share their knowledge and their tractors, and most importantly, God’s grace.

Our farm was named by our children at a family meeting when we decided to start selling our chickens’ eggs. Naturally, our first egg customers were our neighbors and friends, and we’ve expanded to garden baskets in the summer, fruit from the orchard in the fall, homemade jams and jellies, flowers, and (coming summer of 2017) home-grown beef. Honeybees are next, and we’re planning to add them to the farm this spring. And fence repairs (always)!

We have so much more to learn and do (“put it on the list” is a familiar refrain) around here, and one thing we know: Small-scale farming is a labor of love.  But now that we’ve tasted what it’s like to grow our own food, there’s no going back!

We’d love to have you join us on our journey! We’ve made plenty of mistakes, had a handful of wins, but we never expected to be given this gift when we married 17 years ago.
